These are the terms and conditions on which we supply products to you, whether these are goods, services or digital content. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the iPlay Rentals website (www.iplayrentals.com).
These terms and conditions may occasionally be updated, with or without notice and at our sole discretion. The most recent version of these terms and conditions will always be displayed on our website and will supersede all previous versions. The most recent update time of these terms and conditions will be displayed at the bottom of this page.

If we have to contact you, we will do so either by email, by post or by telephone using the contact details provided to us in your order.
When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes communications by email.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP
By joining this service, you confirm that you meet the following minimum requirements, iPlay Rentals Ltd reserves the right to cancel, without refund, any account where we suspect that you do not meet the following requirements:
• You must be at least 18 years of age. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to join iPlay Rentals membership service.
• You must reside in the U.K
• You must have a valid credit or debit card.
• Your billing address must be the same as your delivery address
• You agree to provide us with personal details (including your name, email address, postal address and billing details) that are true and current, and you agree to update us if at any time your personal details change by using the appropriate functions in the MY ACCOUNT section of the website.
• We only offer our service within the U.K (including Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands, Scilly Isles and the Isle of Man). You must reside here to be a member of our service.
FREE TRIALS, TRIAL MEMBERSHIPS, AND DISCOUNT INTRODUCTORY OFFERS
Free trials are only available to new subscribers of www.iplayrentals.com Previous subscribers or trialists (of www.iplayrentals.com or any other service provided by iPlay Rentals Ltd.) do not qualify for another free trial. Only one free trial may be redeemed per household and a free trial may not be combined with any other offer.
Not all games are available for dispatch on a free trial service. Free trial games will include selected games and be shown in the free trial games section of the website.
Free trials are only available on the Level 1 membership package and will only provide one game at a time.
You must cancel your subscription prior to the end of your free trial and have any outstanding games returned before the end of the free trial period to avoid having your card charged.
Free trials offer one title swap within the free trial period. Unlimited swaps will not be available until full paid membership begins at the end of the free trial period.
iPlay Rentals may at times offer free trials, trial memberships, and discount introductory offers of the service to allow customers to become familiar with the many benefits of the service offered. These trials and introductory offers are available to new (first-time) customers who are 18 years or older only, limited to one per household, and cannot be combined with any other offer. These trials and introductory offers are only valid in the United Kingdom. A valid credit or debit card is required. We authorize the card up to the amount of one monthly fee in order to verify the account. We do not receive any payment from this transaction, even if your bank or Credit Card Company temporarily holds the funds in your account. Your delivery address must match your billing address, if these do not match, the service will be unavailable.
Upon redemption of a free trial introductory offer, members will be billed at the applicable rate (plus any applicable taxes) at the start of each billing cycle. We will begin charging your card a monthly subscription fee at the applicable rate (plus any applicable taxes) on the first day following the end of your trial or introductory offer period.
During a trial or introductory offer period, customers will not be eligible to accrue iPlay Rentals Rewards.
iPlay Rentals free trials, trial memberships, and discount introductory offers are non-transferable and may not be resold. iPlay Rentals does not condone or permit the re-selling of free trials, trial memberships, or discount introductory offers privately or on auction/marketplace websites, and we are under no obligation to honour re-sold free trials, trial memberships, and discount introductory offer memberships. iPlay Rentals also does not offer and is not required to provide customer support for issues that may arise from transactions involving the resale of iPlay Rentals free trials, trial memberships, or discount introductory offers.
Upon registering for your free trial, you agree that your debit/credit card will be pre-authorised for the subscription value (one per sign up attempt) to verify your identity, and to protect us from theft and fraud. You understand that this may leave a shadow on your card for up to 10 days and these funds may not be available during this period.
Please note: If using a pre-paid card, the funds may not be available for up to 30 days.
We will begin billing you for monthly subscription fees for the iPlay Rentals service on the last day of your free trial unless you cancel prior to the end of your free trial. We will continue to bill you by your chosen payment method on a monthly basis for the iPlay Rentals service until you cancel the service in full.
Please be aware that 'New Releases' (Games under 6 months old) are not available to new members. Once new members have had an active subscription for 2 consecutive monthly periods, new releases will be available for dispatch.]
MEMBERSHIP & RENTING
In order to use the service, you certify that you are at least 18 years old, with a valid credit or debit card on which you are authorised to set up a continuous payment authority, and that you agree to keep your personal details including your delivery address and billing details up to date so that we can dispatch games to you and bill you accordingly.
It is always your responsibility to keep your details up to date. If you fail to keep your personal details up to date, and as a result we dispatch a game to the wrong address, or an old address, you will be liable to reimburse iPlay Rentals Ltd with a fixed fee of £50 for any lost game where it cannot be recovered.
You can find and update details regarding your subscription with iPlay Rentals at any time, by signing into the website and visiting the MY ACCOUNT section.
BILLING & SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS
The payment card you have pre-authorised for payment upon sign up will be charged monthly on a recurring basis. Depending on your bank, you may see this charge come through a few days before or after your precise due date. You will be responsible for updating your card details when your current card expires or if you change address with your bank.
As a member of iPlay Rentals Ltd, you agree that we are permitted to charge you a monthly subscription fee and any other charges that you may incur in connection with your use of iPlay Rentals. The subscription fee will be billed on the last day of your free trial and on each monthly renewal thereafter unless and until you cancel and regardless of how much you use the service. We will automatically charge your debit/credit card each month on or after the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your membership (usually your free trial expiry date).
You may upgrade or downgrade your iPlay Rentals subscription as often as you like, within the MY ACCOUNT section of the iPlay Rentals website. Any reduction in your monthly bill will take effect at the next billing period after any outstanding games have been returned to us. Any increase in your monthly bill resulting from an upgrade will take effect immediately and the increase may be charged immediately (without changing any subsequent billing dates).
If a payment is missed, our system will automatically attempt to take the payment again within 7 days, if we are unable to recover this payment, your details will be passed to our late payments team for debt recovery. They will contact you to help you update your card details and work with you to resolve any issues and bring your account up to date.
iPlay Rentals Ltd will not be held responsible for any banking charges you may receive from your card issuing bank to make transactions with us. Most U.K banks will not issue charges.
All fees are non-refundable. We may update our charges from time to time (such as; update our monthly charge to you) but we will always give you at least two months' written notice before this happens. We will send this information to you by email, to the email address linked to your account. Please ensure your email address is always up to date with us and that emails received from us are not overlooked in a spam folder for example. iPlay Rentals Ltd. will not be held responsible for any missed email notification due to your details being incorrect or you overlook an email in a spam folder.
The price of the product or membership (which includes VAT) will be the price set out in the order or our acceptance of it. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the price of the product advised to you is correct. If the rate of VAT changes between your order date and the date we supply the productor membership, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid for the product in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect.
It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products we sell may be incorrectly priced. We will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the product's correct price at your order date is less than our stated price at your order date, we will charge the lower amount. If the product's correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated to you, we will contact you for your instructions before we accept your order. If we accept and process your order where a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could reasonably have been recognised by you as a mispricing, we may end the contract, refund you any sums you have paid and require the return of any goods provided to you.
We accept payment with all major debit and credit cards from customers in the UK. When you must pay depends on what product you are buying.
For goods, you must pay for the products before we dispatch them. We will not charge your credit or debit card until we dispatch the products to you.
For full membership services, you must make an advance one-month payment of (£10 or £15 or £20) the price of the membership package, before we start providing them.
If you do not make any payment to us by the due date, we may charge interest to you on the overdue amount at the rate of 4% a month above the base lending rate of Lloyds Banking Plc. This interest shall accrue daily from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount. You must pay us interest together with any overdue amount.
Your iPlay Rentals membership will be automatically renewed on a monthly basis. For your convenience, we will charge the monthly subscription fee to the debit/credit card that you provide to us during registration (or to a different payment method if you change your account information and have it accepted by iPlay Rentals Ltd). Your membership will automatically renew for successive monthly subscriptions, without prior notice to you, unless and until you cancel your membership, or we terminate it. You must cancel your membership before it renews in order to avoid billing of subscription fees.
If you think you have been invoiced incorrectly, please contact us promptly to let us know.
CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP
You can request to cancel your iPlay Rentals membership at any time by signing into the website.
Once signed in, scroll down to the “Billing” section and select the “Cancel/Change Package” tab.
From here you will see a large red “Cancel Package” button. Once you have selected this button and confirmed the cancellation request iPlay Rentals will cease to dispatch any further games to you.
All games must be returned before you can complete the cancellation. Once all outstanding games in your possession are returned to iPlay Rentals, we will send you an email to confirm their arrival and confirm your cancellation
If there are still outstanding games on your account at the time of your cancellation request, we will send cancellation instructions by email regarding the safe return of any outstanding games.
Please ensure you obtain a certificate of postage when cancelling membership and returning games. Proof of postage is a free service, it looks like a receipt and can be obtained at any local post office counter, just ask the cashier for proof of postage when returning any games.
Where proof of postage is provided, iPlay Rentals will always consider the games returned immediately.
Obtaining proof of postage is mandatory for cancellations. If a game goes missing and proof of postage has not been provided, iPlay Rentals reserves the right to charge a fixed fee of £50 for any unreturned game.
If all outstanding games have been returned at the time of your cancellation request, providing there is no overdue balance on your account, we will email you a cancellation confirmation email.
Please Note: Until all outstanding games are received by iPlay Rentals, you will continue to be billed as usual. iPlay Rentals reserves the right to charge you a fixed fee of £50 for each unreturned game where proof of postage has not been obtained.
YOUR RIGHTS TO CANCEL AND A COOLING-OFF PERIOD FOR SERVICES
If you buy a service online, you usually have a 14-day cooling-off period from the day you place your order. iPlay Rentals membership includes a video game rental service. Unlike the Distance Selling Regulations, you don't waive your right to cancel a contract within this cooling-off period even if you ask for the service to start straight away. If you do choose to cancel an order for our service within this time frame and the service has already started, you could be charged for the service that you have had the benefit of.
If you feel that you have been charged excessively in this instance, you can use the market rate to agree an amount you should pay for the service you have used.
DELIVERY AND RETURN OF GAMES
We currently use Royal Mails’ first-class postage prepaid service, to deliver and return the games you have added to your playlist. Actual delivery times may vary for you depending on:
• Our stock availability
• Your delivery address
• When you make your selection
• Unforeseen circumstances impacting delivery by Royal Mail
If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control, then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.
You always agree to treat the games and their associated packaging with the utmost care. You agree that you may need to compensate iPlay Rentals Ltd for any game lost or returned in an unacceptable condition (beyond reasonable wear and tear) and that you allow iPlay Rentals to charge such compensation to your debit/credit card. We will notify you of any such charges. A game will be your responsibility from the time we deliver it to the address provided or you collect it from us.
You agree to report to iPlay Rentals Ltd any possible loss or late delivery of a game to you within 7 days of receipt of the confirmation of game dispatch email you will receive from iPlay Rentals. You agree to complete any paperwork and fulfil any reasonable request to assist iPlay Rentals Ltd. to obtain compensation for any lost game from Royal Mail.
We may need certain information from you so that we can supply the games to you. If so, we will contact you to ask for this information. If you do not give us this information within a reasonable time of us asking for it, or if you give us incomplete or incorrect information, we may either end the contract or make an additional charge of a reasonable sum to compensate us for any extra work that is required as a result. We will not be responsible for supplying the games late or not supplying any part of them if this is caused by you not providing us the information we need, within a reasonable time of us asking for it.
When games are reported lost, later than 14 days, our policy is to treat them as lost from when we are notified. You understand that we will not refund any lost subscription or part subscription payments due to your delay in notifying us of a lost game.
You agree to return only ONE title per mailing bag. This ensures that if a mailing bag is lost in the postal system, only one game will be lost.
While it is very rare for items to be lost in the postal system, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you obtain a Certificate of Posting (proof of postage) from your local post office, on all games you return to us. Obtaining proof of postage is always free, this can be done at the counter of your local post office. Simply ask the cashier for proof of postage.
Obtaining proof of postage is not mandatory unless cancelling your membership, but it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED as it enables us to resolve any lost game issues much more quickly and avoid delays to the service. A Certificate of Posting or proof of postage can be obtained free of charge from any Post Office.
Where proof of postage has been obtained for a returned game that is lost in the post, you agree to provide to iPlay Rentals Ltd the relevant original Certificate of Posting or proof of postage, within 7 days of the loss being identified (retain a copy for your own records). On receipt of this, we mark the game as returned immediately and can then dispatch your next rental. Proof of postage allows iPlay Rentals to recover the cost of the game from Royal Mail.
You understand that iPlay Rentals Ltd reserves the right to debit your debit/credit card a fixed fee of £50 for any lost game, if you fail to adhere to the above terms. We will notify you of any such charges.
You agree that we reserve the right to cancel your membership if it becomes apparent that, in our sole opinion, the postal service in your area is too unreliable, without refund of any subscription payments. We may have to suspend the supply of a product to:
• Deal with technical problems or make minor technical changes
• Update the product to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements
• Make changes to the product as requested by you or notified by us to you.
We will contact you in advance to tell you we will be suspending supply of the game(s), unless the problem is urgent or an emergency.
If you do not pay us for the products when you are supposed to and you still do not make payment within 7 days of us reminding you that payment is due, we may suspend supply of the products until you have paid us the outstanding amounts. As well as suspending the products we can also charge you interest on your overdue payments (see the 'debt recovery' & 'billing and subscriptions' sections of these terms and conditions).
We will email you when a returned game is received by us. You agree to inform us within 7 days of sending the game(s) if you have not received a confirmation email from us stating the game(s) have been received, at which point you agree to provide us with your proof of postage (often called a Certificate of Postage), if you obtained it from your local post office. Where this proof of postage is available and supplied to us, we will assume your game to be received immediately and dispatch further games accordingly. Where multiple games are lost in the post, games are lost regularly, or any behaviour is deemed suspicious by us, we reserve the right to refuse service, require the return of all game(s) and cancel the users account.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, without notice, for any or no reason whatsoever.
If you do not have a Certificate of Postage or proof of postage, and you cannot prove you returned a lost game to us, you agree to reimburse us by paying a fixed fee of £50.
It is your responsibility to return game(s) to us in the freepost return packaging provided, and to ensure that the packaging is sufficiently secure and able to hold the game itself. Where you lose the original freepost return packaging provided, it is your responsibility to contact us (so we can assist you in arranging safe return of the game).
It is your sole responsibility to return the game(s) in a good condition. Where games are returned with an unreasonable amount of damage (beyond reasonable wear and tear and/or the inability to be played in full on a console) you will be charged a fixed fee of £50 per game.
Should your account fall into arrears, iPlay Rentals Ltd. reserves the right to charge you a £5 administration fee to cover our costs in requesting you bring your account up to date.
If you do not make any payment to us by the due date, we may charge interest to you on the overdue amount at the rate of 8% a month above the base lending rate of Lloyds Banking Plc. This interest shall accrue daily from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount. You must pay us interest together with any overdue amount.
In addition, iPlay Rentals Ltd. reserves the right to pass on your details to a third-party collection agency or solicitors for retrieval of the outstanding debt. There will be a £30 minimum handling charge for all such cases.
Where we are not able to recover the outstanding subscription arrears and/or Video Games, iPlay Rentals Ltd. reserve the right to instigate a claim against you through the Small Claims Court. There will be a minimum Claim charge of £50 added to your account if it reaches this stage. Any unreturned games related to your account will also be charged at a fixed fee of £50 per game.
These costs will be added to the amount you owe.
USE OF GAMES
You may not sell, lease, lend, licence, hire out for any reward, use in a manner inconsistent with the rights of the copyright owners or commercially exploit any iPlay Rentals games in any way at any time. We agree that you may let other people in your household play games provided by us, but you are solely responsible for their usage and remain responsible for the safekeeping of the discs themselves. Where a game is damaged by a member of your household or by any method, a fixed fee of £50 per game will be required to be paid by yourself. You agree to ensure that age restrictions are followed, so that, for example, under-18 years will not play 18+ rated adult games. You agree not to make any unauthorised copies of any iPlay Rentals games. If you receive a faulty game, you agree to inform us immediately and return it to us. Once received, we will test it and dispatch a new one to you as soon as possible.
ENTERTAINMENT AND WEBSITE CONTENT
iPlay Rentals Ltd distributes Video Games and entertainment. The iPlay Rentals website may allow you and other third parties to post comments and/or reviews regarding the entertainment we distribute. Any opinions, statements, offers, or other information that is contained in such expressed content or made available by third parties on the iPlay Rentals website are those of the respective authors and not of iPR (or of iPlay Rentals Ltd), its shareholders, officers, employees or its directors. Under no circumstances shall iPlay Rentals or its shareholders, officers, employees or its directors be held liable for any loss or damage caused by your reliance on the information obtained through our website. It is your responsibility to evaluate the information or any other content available through our website.
Any linked websites found on iplayrentals.com are not under the control of iPR (or iPlay Rentals Ltd) We are not responsible for the conduct of companies linked to our website. Those links are provided for convenience and entertainment only and may not remain current or maintained. Links to those websites should not be construed as any endorsement, approval, recommendation or preference by us of the owners or operators of those sites, or of any information, products or services referred to on those other sites unless otherwise specifically stated.
When the function becomes available, we permit you to post reviews on the iPlay Rentals website in accordance with the procedures established on the iPlay Rentals website and provided that the content is not illegal, threatening, defamatory, obscene, libellous or otherwise objectionable to us. When posting content, you agree not to use a false email address or otherwise mislead us or others regarding the origin of such content. We do regularly review the content posted on the iPlay Rentals website and we reserve the right to remove such content at any time without notice.
